55 community members receive basic first-aid training

AfriForum’s Paulpietersburg branch offered basic first-aid training in the area over the last two months, and 55 members of the community completed the training. The training forms part of a training programme that AfriForum’s safety structures launched to further develop and improve their safety networks.

“After a recent farm burglary in our area, we once again realised how important first aid is,” says Martin Dedekind, Chairperson for Safety of AfriForum’s Paulpietersburg branch.

AfriForum offers various courses to empower communities and plans further basic training in legal aspects for later this year.

“It is important that communities empower themselves with basic training to be able to support one another in times of need. We invite the community to become more involved in these training sessions,” says Eugene van Aswegen, AfriForum’s District Coordinator for KwaZulu-Natal.
