AfriForum extends helping hand to distress afflicted Knysna

AfriForum is appealing to its members as well as the wider community of South Africa to take donations for the fire-ridden community of Knysna to the civil rights organisation’s head office in Centurion. These donations will soon be transported to Knysna, which has been declared a disaster area.

It forms part of a wider campaign after AfriForum in cooperation with Solidarity Helping Hand already announced earlier that the emergency fund of these organisations will be used to render assistance to those disaster areas in the Western Cape that are being ravaged the worst by the devastating fires.

“AfriForum’s strength lies in communities and that which we can accomplish by standing together. Now is the time to stand together and to help the people of Knysna and surrounding areas; they need us,” says Guido Urlings, Campaign Officer at AfriForum.
