AfriForum neighbourhood watches in Mpumalanga West participate in national patrol

AfriForum neighbourhood watches in Delmas, Witbank, Middelburg and Standerton participated in AfriForum’s national patrol on 11 March 2017.

Altogether 215 patrollers travelled 5 708 km in 150 vehicles in the various towns, while ten incidents were resolved during the 599 man-hours.

“We encourage communities to become more involved in security structures to ensure safer environments,” says Hillel Coetzer, AfriForum’s Reginal Coordinator for Mpumalanga West. “The safety of our communities is not a one man business – we have to stand together to fight this battle.”

AfriForum wants to thank every neighbourhood watch member for their participation, as well as the Police and every private institution who participated in the national patrol.
