AfriForum’s Alberton neighbourhood watch and proto team hold readiness exercises

AfriForum’s Alberton neighbourhood watch and proto team on 30 March 2019 executed various readiness exercises on a farm outside Walkerville.

The exercises included, among others, various time obstacles, as well as first-aid assistance to injured persons. The group was dropped off in a veld, after which they had to reach a specific destination using a compass. Other exercises included knife attacks, the change of a vehicle’s tyres and target shooting.

“These types of readiness exercises are extremely important for proto team members and intensify the team’s reaction ability. It also has a remarkable positive impact on the group’s internal communication skills and entire morale,” says Hillel Coetzer, AfriForum’s Head of Community Safety for the northern region.
