AfriForum’s Bronkhorstspruit branch and neighbourhood watches receive training

Members of AfriForum’s Bronkhorstspruit branch and neighbourhood watches, as well as farm watches in the region recently received general safety training.

“Training is important for any safety structure and the main purpose of the neighbourhood watches is to safeguard the community. We are here to make a real difference and we would like to work with other safety structures to fulfil our purpose,” says Lambert de Klerk, AfriForum’s Regional Coordinator for Gauteng.

“It is not only neighbourhood watch members who will benefit from this training, but also the wider community. Neighbourhood watches are there to offer assistance to the local police and to help mobilise the community during emergency situations,” says De Klerk.
