AfriForum’s Cape Town North branch launches clean-up action

As part of the civil rights organisation’s Month of Self-reliance campaign, AfriForum’s Cape Town North branch in cooperation with the Voortrekker Road Corridor Improvement District (VRCID) recently cleaned up numerous streets, parks and open fields in Oakdale, Bellville. Approximately a truckload of rubbish was removed, and weeds were removed from many sidewalks.

“Where the Municipality fails to fulfil their duties, we will intervene to ensure that our environment remains clean and our neighbourhood does not deteriorate,” says Tommy van Zyl, Chairperson of AfriForum’s Cape Town North branch.
