AfriForum’s Greater Gansbaai neighbourhood watch receives training
AfriForum’s Greater Gansbaai neighbourhood watch, which forms part of the civil rights organisation’s Overstrand branch, received training on 18 June 2019 in legal aspects in terms of patrols. The neighbourhood watch also received training on 25 June 2019 in crime scene handling. The training was presented by Thomas van Dalen, AfriForum’s National Training Manager for Community Safety.
“AfriForum focuses on training communities and empowering them with knowledge. One of these focus areas is community safety, where we aim to make communities more defensible,” says Deon de Jager, AfriForum’s District Coordinator for the Boland.
