AfriForum’s Kuruman branch erects stop sign at schools

AfriForum’s Kuruman branch this past week erected a stop sign at the three-way intersection at Laerskool Seodin and Hoërskool Kalahari. This branch’s youth wing is also planning to paint the intersection.

This stop sign was removed some time ago and results in vehicles speeding through the intersection, which poses a threat to residents and especially the learners of these schools.

“It is our duty as a community to see to it that a safe and clean environment is created, especially for our children. Where municipalities neglect to fulfil their duties, we as a community will jump in ourselves,” says Pieter Serfontein, Chairperson of AfriForum’s Kuruman branch.
