AfriForum’s Middelburg branch launches clean-up project

The AfriForum branch in Middelburg this past week launched a project to clean up their town.

More than 82 fodder bags and approximately 30 black bags full of rubbish were picked up in an area of the town that includes the following streets: Verdoorn, Wes, Cowen Ntuli, Laver, Sacd, Sangiro, Wassenaar, Jan Cellies, Vermaas, Hoop, Buitekant and Lillian Ngoyi.

“These streets are used on a daily basis by hundreds of motorists, therefore the neatness of the area is of extreme importance. AfriForum will continue to straighten out other problem areas in the town with similar do-it-yourself actions,” says Hillel Coetzer, AfriForum’s Regional Coordinator for Mpumalanga West.

“AfriForum’s Middelburg branch wants to contribute towards a better, cleaner and safer community and we ask that residents become involved at our local branch and neighbourhood watch. For more information, feel free to call our emergency number at 076 634 6780,” adds Johan de Beer, Chairperson of AfriForum’s Middelburg branch.
