AfriForum’s Roodepoort neighbourhood watch holds eighth mass patrol for 2020

The AfriForum neighbourhood watch in Roodepoort held their eighth monthly mass and crime prevention patrol on 23 October in Roodepoort.

This patrol was held in collaboration with the following role-players: ER24, Commed, Help24, Honeydew CPF, Sophiatown CPF, Albertsville CPF, Fairlands CPF, FNQB CPF, BCI Security, APCAN Security, National Security & Fire, Tau Protection Services, SRT Security, EC Security, Scpsl Security, CCJ Security, Delta Tactical, Emergency Control SA, ICE Community Policing and Black Hawk Risk Intelligence.

In total 95 members participated in this patrol and the patrol promises to attract more participants in the coming months to successfully protect the community.

“These patrols are important to improve security in the community and to create a safer environment for all. If communities and role-players work together, crime can be combatted together,” says Dewet Ungerer, AfriForum’s District Coordinator for the West Rand.

Various problem areas in the community were visited and no serious incidents were reported during the patrol.
