New acting police commissioner will bring new hope

AfriForum welcomes the appointment of the new Acting Police Commissioner Lt. Genl. Joel Mothiba.

“Lt. Genl. Mothiba is an experienced police officer who strongly believes in community policing and discipline. I believe his appointment will bring new hope and increase the morale within the police force,” says Ian Cameron, AfriForum’s Head of Safety.

Cameron describes Mothiba as effective and says that he made a significant impact as Provincial Police Commissioner in Gauteng.
