AfriForum branch in Aliwal North donates more fodder to Soutpan farmers
On 9 January 2019 AfriForum’s Aliwal North branch and Boere in Nood joined forces to provide fodder to the farmers of Soutpan. Fanie Bekker donated 48 bales of fodder to AfriForum’s Aliwal North branch, while Boere in Nood paid for the transport thereof from Aliwal North to Soutpan.
“We realise that this single load of fodder won’t solve all the farmers’ problems, but if we work together, we can create a ripple effect to ultimately bring them relief. This is why teamwork is so important for us,” says Lize-Mari Smit, AfriForum’s District Coordinator for the Karoo.
This is the fifth load of fodder that AfriForum’s Aliwal North branch has thus far donated to farmers in need.
