Bethal branch and residents improves town

AfriForum’s Bethal branch completed another pothole project on Thursday 10 August, this time the focus was on Tsibitso Sibanyoni Street. It was decided to pay attention to this street because several residents complained about the condition of the street.

During the project, potholes were repaired in Tsibitso Sibanyoni Street from Malherbe to Kieser Street. Tar for the project was provided by residents of this street, while AfriForum’s Bethal branch also contributed. A total of 300 bags of tar were used to repair the potholes.

“The project’s costs amount to approximately R11 000 after the tar received from the community. We thank the residents for their contribution, Mass Hire Secunda who provided a compaction roller for the project as well as NJP Transport who made a 4-tonne truck available. This project is an example of how various organisations join hands and make a difference,” says Ingrid Human, Chairperson of AfriForum’s Bethal branch.
