JOIN YOUR NEAREST NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH

The value of neighbourhood watches has been proven time and again, especially when they cooperate with other safety structures such as community policing forums (CPFs) and the SAPS.

AfriForum has already established more than 155 neighbourhood watches across the country and the presence of these neighbourhood watches regularly leads to better safety, the prevention of crime and the arrest of suspicious persons.

All neighbourhood watch members are trained thoroughly to inform them about their rights and responsibilities, while they also receive training in self-defence and the use of radios.

NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH STATISTICS

BORDER WATCH

AfriForum launched a new project that is aimed at safeguarding South Africa’s borders.

The Border Watch Initiative focuses on strengthening and supporting AfriForum’s safety structures in border areas across the country. Various individuals and organisations already indicated that they would like to sponsor equipment for the neighbourhood and farm watches in border areas.

Open Borders, a documentary produced by AfriForum, uncovers the absolute lack of border patrol on South Africa’s border with Zimbabwe and investigates the crime wave it leads to.
