AfriForum’s Alberton branch supports the elderly

The AfriForum branch in Alberton this past weekend supported the elderly in the Brackenhurst and Brackendowns areas heavily burdened with water problems in cooperation with the National Paramedical Services (NPS).

The various organisations used a waterpoint at the Brackendowns Police Station in Letaba Street to fill up water drums. They also transported the water and delivered it to the elderly.

“It is important to support the elderly in our community in any possible way. We would like to thank the NPS that also distributed giftpacks to the community and sent a team to assist during the action,” says Chris Fourie, Chairperson of the Environmental Affairs Portfolio at AfriForum’s Alberton branch.
