Boksburg streets now cleaner thanks to AfriForum branch

AfriForum’s Boksburg branch held a successful clean-up effort in Ravenswood Avenue and Tenth Street. During this effort, 70 bags of garbage were removed. This was the first phase of the branch’s four-phase plan to keep Boksburg tidy and clean.

According to Jurie Ferreira, AfriForum’s District Coordinator for the East Rand, this area was especially an eyesore for the community because of the garbage that accumulated there. “This effort was only a success because we worked together as a community. It’s not just about cleaning up the area but strengthening community involvement.”

“AfriForum will continue to support and encourage such initiatives to keep our communities clean,” concludes Ferreira.

AfriForum Boksburg branch calls on the community to get involved with this branch and their projects at www.wordlid.co.za.
