AfriForum’s Bronkhorstspruit neighbourhood watch helps to extinguish fire

AfriForum’s Bronkhorstspruit neighbourhood watch in Klipeiland and Arbor Road extinguished a large fire in the Klipeiland area on 26 August 2018 in cooperation with the Wilge River Fire Association and GE Response.

This joint action prevented a community member’s house from burning down. The cause of the fire is still unknown.

“Well-organised safety structures enabled our members to react quickly. That is why it is so important that community members join community structures and have excellent contact with other community institutions,” says Lambert de Klerk, AfriForum’s District Coordinator for Northern Gauteng.

AfriForum encourages the various communities in the Tshwane Metropole to join the local branches and partake in the activities. For more information, email lambert@afriforum.co.za.
