AfriForum’s Kimberley neighbourhood watches participate in national patrol

AfriForum’s Kimberley neighbourhood watches participated in the national patrol that was on 18 September all over the country and in which all of AfriForum’s safety structures participated. The Kimberley patrol was executed in cooperation with the SAPS and various community members.

Altogether 22 AfriForum patrollers and six patrollers of other safety organisations covered almost 720 km in 13 vehicles. Three incidents were reported.

“The neighbourhood watches in Kimberley will continue to tackle safety issues in a bid to improve visibility in the community. We are grateful for the good cooperation between the AfriForum neighbourhood watches, the SAPS and other institutions who help us to safeguard our communities,” says Lize-Mari Smit, AfriForum’s District Coordinator for the Karoo.
