Middelburg branch gives SPCA a fresh coat of paint

On Friday 11 August, AfriForum’s Middelburg branch completed phase 3 of a project which the branch launched on 8 July in collaboration with Miss Mpumalanga Tourism Queen to repaint and repair the cracks in the main building and kennels of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) in Middelburg.

The SPCA’s buildings were falling apart and needed urgent maintenance. Unfortunately, the organisation did not have the money to do so. All their funds go towards the animals’ food, medical expenses, and general well-being. That is why AfriForum’s Middelburg branch press ahead and appointed a contractor to repaint the buildings and kennels after the cracks were repaired.

“This project cost just over R20 000, and the branch is happy they could help. We thank everyone who sacrificed their time to make a difference. Organisations like this need all the help they can get, and we encourage businesses and residents to help where they can,” says Magiel Ebersohn, Chairperson of AfriForum’s Middelburg branch.
