Is jy moeg om vir dienste te betaal wat nie gelewer word nie? Rig ’n klag teen die munisipaliteit en gee aan AfriForum die mandaat om namens jou te baklei.

(Neem kennis dat die klaer hierdie aansoek in hul eie kapasiteit gaan verklaar en dit steeds hul eie verantwoordelikheid bly om op te volg by die metro of hul dienste en kostes wel gekanselleer is.)

APPLICATION: EXEMPTION FROM THE MANGAUNG METROPOLITAN MUNICIPALITY BY-LAWS RELATING TO WASTE MANAGEMENT

I, , hereby formally apply for exemption from section 23 (1) of the Mangaung Metropolitan Municipality by-laws relating to waste management for with account number: .

Liability to pay applicable tariffs (1) The owner of premises where the Municipality is rendering waste services contemplated in this by-law is liable for the payment of prescribed tariffs for such services, and is not exempted from or reduction of such tariffs due to non usage, partial or limited use of such services.

I am seeking exemption based on the following section in the municipality’s bylaw.

Exemptions (1) Any person may by means of a written application, in which the reasons are given in full, apply to the Municipality for exemption from any provision of this by-law. (2) The Municipality may – (a) grant an exemption in writing and the conditions in terms of which, if any, and the period for which such exemption is granted be stipulated therein.

It is against this backdrop that I would like to provide the reasons for my application for exemption from section 23 (1) of the bylaw:

Waste collection is sporadic, inconsistent, and inaccurate.
Lack of waste removal causes serious health risks.
I would like to appoint a private waste management company to conduct waste collection for my property. A private company will be able to provide accurate and consistent waste collection services, mitigating health risks caused by the accumulation of waste.
