AfriForum neighbourhood watch in Fichardt Park catches criminals
AfriForum’s Fichardt Park neighbourhood watch proved on 18 May 2017 once again that this town’s safety network is extremely efficient.
A member of AfriForum brought a suspect vehicle to the attention of the branch’s WhatsApp emergency group at 1:11. The branch’s emergency response members identified the vehicle positively in Theunissen Crescent and also identified the vehicle registration number. The security firm ITR was then contacted for back-up.
The branch then provide the SAPS with a description and registration number of the vehicle, which lead to the arrest of the suspects at the Engen garage in Fichardt Park. The SAPS confirmed that the suspects in the car had attempted to steal cell phone tower batteries.
